"Joselu has been a player who has contributed a lot to the team. He embodies the essence of this team perfectly. He has contributed a lot without losing confidence and enthusiasm, just like many other teammates," praised by coach Carlo Ancelotti on the heroics of Joselu - who scored a double to help Real Madrid come from behind to defeat Bayern Munich in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final at the Bernabeu in the early hours of May 9th (Vietnam time).

After a goalless first half and conceding in the 68th minute of the second half (Alphonso Davies scoring for Bayern Munich), Real Madrid successfully turned the game around with two goals in just 3 minutes, from the 88th minute to the 90+1 minute, thanks to Joselu's brace.

Coach Carlo Ancelotti praised his players for beating Bayern Munich and securing a spot in the Champions League final against Borussia Dortmund at Wembley Stadium (London, England) on June 1st.

"We are back in the final. There is something magical and indescribable. It's all thanks to the support of the fans, the efforts of each player to turn it into reality. The players have had a season beyond expectations.

Reaching the final is a success, no matter what, we will have a great time in the coming days before going into the final. There is immense joy at the moment, and I have to prepare well for what's to come," said a delighted Carlo Ancelotti.

Notably, in addition to praising Joselu, the Italian coach also commended the performance of winger Vinicius - who created many opportunities that unsettled the Bayern Munich defense in the second leg semi-final.

"What he did in this semi-final is something we rarely see, something not easy for many players in important matches," Ancelotti said.

Notably, Ancelotti also acknowledged his luck when Bayern Munich's goal in the 90+13th minute was disallowed for offside.

"The assistant referee raised the flag, the referee blew the whistle, and we stopped. It may not have been offside, but what is clear is that the referee blew the whistle. They complained about that goal, but we also had a similarly disallowed goal.

It was the play (in the 71st minute) where Bayern Munich defender Kimmich threw himself into Nacho and then dived. It should have been a goal for us," the 64-year-old coach said about the disallowed goals for both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

This victory puts Real Madrid on the verge of winning the Champions League for the 15th time in history, and Carlo Ancelotti himself has the opportunity to set a record of winning the tournament 5 times (previously Ancelotti helped AC Milan win in 2002-2003, 2006-2007, and Real Madrid in 2013-2014, 2021-2022).
