Sharing with a reporter from Dan Tri about the reason for participating in the program "Brothers overcoming thousands of obstacles," Bang Kieu said that he sees it as an interesting game show where each individual will showcase their skills, sometimes surpassing their own imagination.
"Most importantly, this will be an opportunity for me to get closer to the audience and to rejuvenate myself by trying to overcome my own limits, in the challenges of the game show...", Bang Kieu said.
Bang Kieu shared that in order to participate in "Brothers overcoming thousands of obstacles," he also had to consider and rearrange a lot of schedules, especially the performance schedules he had already accepted. At first, he was a bit worried, partly because of the long filming time of the program, partly because he didn't know if he could create any surprises to give to the audience.
"In the end, I agreed to participate because I truly want to share life stories, experiences of singing for many years with young colleagues, to get closer to my audience...", the male singer candidly revealed.

According to Bang Kieu, because his music is always like a heartfelt confession, when coming to the program, he chose the song and the way of performing in a gentle and profound manner.
When participating in the program, he does not feel pressure but always tries his best on stage to give the audience the musical gift.
When asked what he would think if he was eliminated early from the program, Bang Kieu straightforwardly said: "It's normal, because this is a game show so I don't see it as a competition. I bring joy from attractive performances to the audience, that's enough. Joining the program, I find it very interesting because men can also bring happiness to each other (laughs)."
Responding to the information in the program "Brothers overcoming thousands of obstacles," he and Tu Long, Hong Son were criticized by some discerning viewers for appearing... old, he said: "No one likes being called old. Just kidding, because no one can resist time. Everyone will change, but for artists, the soul is always much younger than the age. That is the privilege that the profession brings to us."
The Hanoi-born male singer revealed that his audience has many age groups, from the elderly, middle-aged to young people belonging to Generation Z (those born from around 1997 to 2012).
"I am happy when I take a taxi, many drivers are busy listening to Bang Kieu's songs. Does that bring luck?" he jokingly recounted.
Bang Kieu shared that his mother and girlfriend wholeheartedly support him when he participates in "Brothers overcoming thousands of obstacles." "My mother takes care of every little detail even when I am no longer young. The mothers of my children take care of the children very well, beyond expectations. I am grateful for the women in my life, because of them, there is a singer like Bang Kieu today," he confided.
Unlike the cold appearance on stage, in real life, Bang Kieu admits that he is a bit careless, simple, sometimes considered... indifferent. Because he has very little free time, so if he has the opportunity, Bang Kieu always stays with and takes care of his children. Not only Benly in Vietnam but every time he returns to the US, Bang Kieu always takes care of Beckam, Colin, and Kenzi.

"Being cared for and protected by my children is the happiness of parents. I am the man of the family. I can do many things, like taking care of children or cooking whenever I am at home...", he shared.
Bang Kieu affirms that he is not a perfect person but he always tries to be the most responsible in the role of a man, a father in the family.
