Facing criticism, Duc Tuan responded, "Not every house in the ancient town is a heritage site. My house is not an ancient house and was built for photo shooting purposes."
Speaking to Dan Tri reporter about Duc Tuan's opinion, Mr. Nguyen Van Lanh - Vice Chairman of Hoi An City People's Committee - affirmed: "If it is a house in the ancient town, it is part of the architectural ensemble of the world heritage."

According to the city leaders of Hoi An, after verification, the house where singer Duc Tuan took photos is located at 166 Tran Phu, Hoi An City.
"This house has been fined multiple times, and the owner has been required to install railings, but singer Duc Tuan climbed over the railing to take photos. Currently, we are conducting inspections and requesting the owner to dismantle the decorations on the rooftop and make a commitment," the city leaders of Hoi An further informed.
The city leaders of Hoi An have also assigned officials to verify, provide advice, and review the necessary regulations to impose administrative fines on individuals violating the rules.
As reported by Dan Tri, on the afternoon of July 10, singer Duc Tuan posted over 30 photos taken in Hoi An, including 3-4 photos of him standing or sitting on the roof of a house in Hoi An ancient town. These photos have sparked outrage on social media, especially among the local residents of Hoi An.
