Trizzie Phuong Trinh recounted: "Singer Bich Phuong met me backstage. The first thing she did was embrace me tightly, then bow her head, continuously express thanks, and cry uncontrollably. Kasim hid his condition from his mother until he could no longer hide it."
According to the female singer, despite the painful illness, Kasim Hoang Vu still went to the restaurant every day to work in the kitchen because he was the head chef, "if he doesn't work, the restaurant closes." Kasim Hoang Vu takes pain relief pills, waiting for the scheduled surgery to have his jaw bone transplanted.
"When I hugged Kasim to encourage him, I couldn't hold back the tears because the Kasim in front of me is not the Kasim I knew. I wish I could do more for him. The money from fellow artists and volunteers can only help him hold on for a few months. For Kasim to accept the help of everyone means he has reached the end.

"I am very tired and in pain so I should have gone to the emergency room, but the sincere affection from the audience, fellow artists, and colleagues is so great that I tried to endure until the last moment with everyone to reciprocate the affection and love. By this morning, I could not bear it anymore so I had to go to the emergency room," he shared.
