On the morning of December 18, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended an online conference to review the work of 2024 and discuss the key tasks for 2025 in the fields of culture, sports, and tourism under the theme "Building an advanced culture rich in national identity - Driving force for the country's development in the new era - The rising era of the Vietnamese people."

The online conference connected 744 locations with over 16,000 participants nationwide. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the approach taken by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism in focusing on grassroots, people-centric efforts.
During the conference, the Prime Minister commended the achievements of the culture, sports, and tourism sectors in the past year.
He highlighted the sector's increasing role in guiding the nation forward. The improvement in people's access to culture, sports, and tourism is a bright spot, with indicators of human development on the rise.
In his speech assessing the sector's achievements in the past year, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh repeatedly mentioned the success of the two recent concerts "Anh trai say hi" and "Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai."
"Through these two concerts, we have seen our capabilities, intelligence, and creativity to develop the cultural and entertainment industries.
We have a culture rich in national identity, with internal strength, traditions, and potential to enhance cultural enjoyment," the Prime Minister shared.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also praised the creative energy of the young Vietnamese people who participated in these concerts.
At the event, the Prime Minister outlined 7 key tasks and solutions, starting with making a breakthrough in institutional reforms, decisively moving away from the mentality of "if you can't control it, ban it," and eliminating the "seeking-permission" mechanism; accelerating decentralization, empowerment, streamlining administrative procedures linked to digital transformation.
Secondly, he emphasized accelerating the development of comprehensive strategic infrastructure for cultural, sports, and tourism facilities, focusing on both physical and soft infrastructure, connectivity infrastructure, especially digital infrastructure based on data and artificial intelligence.
Thirdly, quality human resource training for the sectors, with specific mechanisms and policies suitable for the arts and sports fields, policies to retain talented individuals, encourage those with talent and passion, and motivate those who dare to think, act, innovate, and handle those who avoid responsibility.
"The cultural sector has specific characteristics, so besides general policies, there must also be specific policies. The cultural sector needs proactive, creative approaches to train a suitable workforce," the Prime Minister shared.
Fourthly, mobilizing resources for development through appropriate mechanisms and policies, especially public-private partnerships, leading state funding, activating all social resources, including those from citizens and businesses.
Fifthly, enhancing management capacity for the sector towards intelligent management based on data.
Sixthly, building advanced models, replicating successful models, creating movements, development trends... "Why don't we evaluate and replicate the success of the two recent concerts? Why have women's football and volleyball achieved such success? Why are there attractive tourist destinations?" the Prime Minister posed.
The two concerts mentioned by the Prime Minister are "Anh trai vượt ngàn chông gai" and "Anh trai say hi," which many delegates also referenced at the conference earlier.
Seventhly, creating opportunities and mechanisms for the Vietnamese people to enjoy the fruits of the culture, sports, and tourism sectors.

The Prime Minister emphasized: President Ho Chi Minh, the beloved leader, the great national hero, the World Cultural Celebrity once affirmed: "Culture guides the nation."
The culture of the Vietnamese people with a history of thousands of years is the strength for national existence; developing physical education, sports is an objective requirement that is mandatory and contributes to forming a strong and healthy nation; tourism is a spearhead economic sector.
Therefore, the culture, sports, and tourism sectors play a crucial, comprehensive, and global role that is urgent and strategic in the long run for economic and social development, building and protecting the Fatherland, contributing to creating a solid foundation for the country to enter a new era, the rising era of the Vietnamese people, building a wealthy, prosperous Vietnam.
