After a period of quiet activity, 2024 marked the return of artist Hoai Linh to the big screen with a role in the movie "Getting Rich with Ghosts". Speaking to the media on the eve of the new year of At Ty, Hoai Linh said at the age of 56, he still wants to continue working, not afraid to accept supporting roles because he "rarely wants to sit still."

"Getting Rich with Ghosts" was lucky to achieve over 100 billion VND in revenue. This is a great motivation for me to continue acting if given the opportunity," Hoai Linh said.

Occasionally, Hoai Linh also takes the time to support young artists in programs, competition acts, and music products. At the finals of the "Golden Swallow Artist" competition in mid-January, Hoai Linh participated in a segment about the Tet holiday, bringing tears to the audience with a story of family love.

Having gone through many ups and downs, Hoai Linh cherishes a peaceful, simple life. After stage performances, the artist chooses to rest, spending time with family and alone. He said he doesn't participate in game shows because he feels it's not suitable for his current age.

Recently, Hoai Linh has been praised for regaining his physical form, no longer looking thin and pale like before.

"I've gained 6kg, now weighing 58kg. At this age, health usually declines, but now I feel much better. I don't have any secrets, just eating three meals a day. I don't eat breakfast, only lunch, dinner, and a late-night meal. My spirit is also relaxed. At home, I take care of plants, sometimes go fishing to relax my mind," the artist said.

Hoai Linh revealed that he has high blood fat levels, sometimes experiences irregular heartbeats. In addition, after undergoing treatment for thyroid cancer a few years ago, the actor still has to take medication every day and have a check-up every 3-6 months. However, he still has enough health to work, just feeling tired and uncomfortable when he has to sit still.

For the Year of At Ty, People's Artist Hoai Linh said he is busier than usual with provincial shows and comedy performances to entertain people. However, he still manages to set aside time on the 29th and 1st day of Tet for his family.

"On the 28th and 29th of Tet, I go to Dong Nai to offer incense to my ancestors, then return to Ho Chi Minh City to make offerings. This year I have performances from the 2nd to the 5th day of Tet, take a few days off and then continue performing.

For many years, my Tet celebrations have been quite simple. I enjoy taking care of the apricot tree, watering it in the evening, admiring the flowers in the morning, eating, and then getting back on the show bus," Hoai Linh said.

At the age of 56, the artist affirms that he is happy to have the love and support of his family and fans. The support of loved ones is the motivation for him to continue dedicating himself to art.

Speaking of plans and aspirations for the new year, Hoai Linh only hopes to have more theater venues for artists to perform.

"The audience has not abandoned me, but I don't have a place to welcome them. If the theater is well-organized, the audience will definitely support theatrical performances. I also hope that in 2025 the economy will recover, everyone will have good jobs and live happily," the artist expressed.
