Broadcasting stations receive numerous advertisements featuring 'cheesy' celebrities

Confirming with Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Ninh Thi Thu Huong - Director of the Department of Grassroots Culture - stated that the Food Safety Bureau has sent a letter to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information, Department of Grassroots Culture (Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism) requesting cooperation in managing food advertisements related to the situation of celebrities advertising false information.

"The Food Safety Bureau has sent a letter to the Department of Radio, Television and Electronic Information for this unit to receive and handle the issue of artists, celebrities advertising incorrectly. As for my unit, we received a letter to summarize the situation, according to our jurisdiction," Ms. Thu Huong said.

The Food Safety Bureau also revealed that they have received reports from the media about celebrities violating advertising regulations.

In addition, the Bureau also received reports about artist and former Colonel Pham Cuong - former Director of the People's Army Cinema - participating in advertising for a joint and bone supplement.

According to Dan Tri reporters, in a 5-minute video on social media, artist Pham Cuong advertised the Bonmax joint and bone supplement and praised the product highly.

In the video, Pham Cuong stated that those with joint and bone issues only need to use the supplement for 10 days to see results in reducing inflammation and swelling, using it for a month will lubricate the joints, restore elasticity, and eliminate degeneration.

He also claimed that those who use this product will not depend on it after treatment, will not have any side effects, and will "eliminate" all joint-related diseases such as neck pain, spinal pain, etc.

Dan Tri reporters contacted Pham Cuong but have not received a response from him.

Previously, images of some artists and celebrities advertising multi-purpose milk, exaggerating its effects, were widely shared on social media. Among them, actors Hồng Vân, Doãn Quốc Đam, MC Hoàng Linh... were mentioned by netizens, sharing images and leading to many conflicting comments.

According to the video, Doãn Quốc Đam and MC Hoàng Linh appeared in advertisements for Cilonmum milk, part of a massive production and distribution network of counterfeit powdered milk that was recently investigated and busted by authorities.

In a video advertising Cilonmum Colos IQ Grow 24h milk for children aged 1-15 by Rance Pharma International Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company - one of the units recently investigated for producing over 500 types of fake milk - actor Doãn Quốc Đam affirmed that he and his wife researched the product thoroughly before giving it to their child.

Even the actor continuously asserted that "the milk factory producing this milk is FDA-certified for safe production by the USA", achieving many outstanding technological production achievements.

In another video, MC Hoàng Linh also praised the Cilonmum milk product. She felt a clear change in her child after drinking the milk, such as improved appetite and alleviation of constipation. She was pleased to have found a good milk product for her child.

These artists remained silent amid the uproar over suspected false milk advertising.

The incidents of "wrong" milk advertising and suspected counterfeit milk advertising uncovered following the investigation and bust of a network producing 573 fake milk brands for people with diabetes, kidney failure, premature babies, pregnant women... have recently outraged public opinion.
