Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, artist Thuy Lien said that for many years, she has been regularly invited by actor Thai Hoa to participate in sitcom projects.
The two sisters still keep in touch, exchanging work regularly. However, some time ago, she was surprised that she no longer received any response from the actor, despite messaging and calling through Zalo.
"Recently, when filming with actress Lan Anh, I learned that Thai Hoa was seriously ill. Lan Anh accidentally saw Hoa's Zalo status where he shared about his critical health condition, which surprised both of us. That's when I finally understood why Thai Hoa had completely lost contact for many months," artist Thuy Lien said.
She also mentioned that Thai Hoa's ex-wife said that after more than 1 year of divorce, he rented a house in the Thanh Nhan area (Hanoi), living with 2 young children. One day, while he was taking his child to school, he suddenly had a stroke, collapsed on the road, and was taken to Thanh Nhan Hospital for emergency treatment.
Thanks to timely treatment, he survived the critical condition, but left severe sequelae, having to stay in one place for the past 6 months. Currently, he is living with his sister in Hai Duong.
Very worried about his colleague's condition, Thuy Lien posted a notice on social media, calling for help from artists who had worked with Thai Hoa. Afterwards, a group of artists and directors represented everyone in visiting Hai Duong to inquire about and provide the donated money to support the actor, as well as encourage him to overcome the difficult period.
The visit was not only attended by Thuy Lien but also received the joint efforts of many colleagues, including artists who had never collaborated with Thai Hoa. Artist Thanh Thanh Hien - although had never worked with him - also sent a gift of encouragement.
According to artist Thuy Lien, Thai Hoa is a kind, generous, and beloved person by many artists. In work, despite some minor conflicts at times, he always maintains a harmonious relationship with everyone.
Thuy Lien emotionally shared: "Yesterday morning (May 7 - Reporter), we visited him, Hoa recognized everyone but couldn't speak, just cried. Very touching! We continue to call for artists to each contribute a little to share with Hoa. His current situation is very difficult, with nothing in hand and the medical treatment is very costly."
On his personal page, actor Pham Thanh Hoa also recently shared the health condition of the golden screen actor Thai Hoa, surprising many colleagues.
On the morning of May 7, when the group of artists visited, Thai Hoa was more alert, able to recognize everyone. However, according to actor Pham Thanh Hoa's sharing, his condition is still very severe.
"He is still paralyzed all over, one side completely paralyzed, the other side still paralyzed and unable to speak. His family's situation is extremely difficult, with no house, insurance, or any savings. All treatment costs, medication, are supported by friends and relatives," actor Pham Thanh Hoa wrote.
When visiting actor Thai Hoa, many colleagues also encouraged him, showing backstage photos of the film to help the actor reminisce about his profession.
