"For the first time in my 10-year career, I have become a victim of hidden camera recording," Chau Bui said.
According to the model, on June 23 at 2 pm, she and her team went to a famous studio to try on clothes for a brand. Before the fitting session, Chau Bui carefully checked the restroom space but found nothing unusual.
"After about 30 minutes of changing clothes, I happened to look towards the corner of the restroom and saw a round black object hidden under a white towel. When I approached, I noticed the object looked like a water meter clock. I removed the towel and realized that it was a clock, thinking someone had forgotten it.
But when I touched it, the clock was very hot on the back and the light kept flashing. Feeling something was not right, my legs and arms were shaking with anxiety. My team searched for images of "clock-shaped spy camera" online and immediately the same product appeared.
At that moment, I was frozen while everyone tried to calm me down. When checked, this clock used battery and needed to plug in a cable to retrieve data, not able to view or stream directly on a device. I could only pray that it was not viewed elsewhere," Chau Bui recounted.

Immediately after discovering the incident, Chau Bui and the studio owner worked together to check the security cameras and found a suspicious man who repeatedly entered the women's restroom several times, staying inside for 3-5 minutes each time. According to Chau Bui, the on/off periods of the "camera clock" coincided with the man's entries and exits of the restroom.
"Seeing the sensitive images of my body during changing clothes being recorded so clearly, I was truly shocked and speechless. I couldn't imagine what would happen if I didn't discover it in time, how these images would be used, and how I would face the consequences. It's really terrifying.
When all the details were connected with clear evidence, the young man could not deny and admitted that he was the one who installed the hidden camera in the women's restroom," the 9X model said.
Subsequently, the studio representative and Chau Bui's team reported the incident to the nearest police station for handling.

Speaking to Dan Tri reporter on the morning of June 25, Chau Bui's representative confirmed the above incident.
"On the first day of the incident, Chau Bui was very shocked and panicked. Yesterday, Chau regained her composure to work with the authorities. By openly sharing the incident, Chau hopes to issue a warning to those working in the art industry and girls in general because hidden camera devices are extremely sophisticated nowadays. Chau Bui hopes that no one else has to be in a situation like hers," Chau Bui's representative said.
